Shipping fragile items are much tougher than shipping products! As a business owner, you should need to be extra careful because ultimately you are the only person who will be going to bear the loss of your finance as well as the customer. You need to use protective packaging, inflated packaging, etc for fragile items.  

Whatever be broken easily comes under fragile articles like glassware to antiques, and more. Fragile items can be formed of any element, like crystal, glass and ceramic. They need extra care before shipping as well. 

A Small Packaging Box

The general rule for packing delicate items is to use a slightly bigger packaging box leaving no empty space around. This technique restricts the movement of the product during transit.

The empty space needs to be filled with dunnage for extra safety. The tape that you are using for fixing should be thick enough that will not open easily. 

Safety Cushioning

Every fragile item needs to be packed with extra cushioning so that an extra layer of safety will be added to it. If your packaging is strong enough that bear the impact of any external jerks, it won't get teared easily. There are numerous cushioning materials available in the market or inflatable packaging that you can pick from.

Double Box 

For delicate cum costly products, you must pack these products in double boxes. In double box packaging, the box-in-box technique is used. For example, first, you need to pack the product in a box & place this box into a larger box. Also, do not forget to fill the empty space in the box. 

Fragile Sticker

Last but not least, it is very important to label the packaging box with the sticker written "FRAGILE" or "Handle With Care." It makes an impression of a delicate product inside the box to the person handling the product.
